Bungalow Court Architectural Assessment

$25.00

Thanks to a decision made by the California State Historic Resources Commission on May 7, 2026, it is now easier and less expensive for owners of bungalow courts in San Diego to nominate their property to the National Register of Historic Places.

Before proceeding with the nomination process, you may want to have one of our experienced architectural historians evaluate the architectural integrity of your property to determine if it might qualify for the National Register. They will conduct basic research to determine the age, architectural style, historic features, and architectural integrity of your property.

A variety of resources are included in your assessment, including published historic surveys, Sanborn fire insurance maps, and historic photos and aerials, if available. You will receive a limited, written assessment within 3 weeks, including a professional opinion about the likelihood that the property could be locally designated on the basis of architecture only.

The service is limited to bungalow courts built between 1920 and 1949 in the City of San Diego.
